The problem, drawn

Four steps between a search and a customer, and where you lose people

Every search goes through the same four steps. At each one customers drop out for a reason you can name, and at each one we read something you can check. 14 of the 65 scan checks are about search alone.

  1. Google finds your pages

    Where customers are lost

Pages Google cannot reach never appear: a sitemap that is missing or empty, a robots file that blocks them, two web addresses for one site.

    What SignalIQ reads

    • XML sitemap
    • Sitemap contains URLs
    • robots.txt
    • One canonical web address
    • Missing pages return a real 404
  2. Google reads each page

    Where customers are lost

A page with no clear title, heading or structured data is read badly, so Google is unsure what it is about and who to show it to.

    What SignalIQ reads

    • Page title
    • H1 heading
    • Canonical URL
    • Structured data (schema)
    • Business schema types
    • Content readable without JavaScript
  3. Google picks where you show

    Where customers are lost

A phrase you almost rank for sits on the second page, where few people look, so it brings you almost nothing.

    What SignalIQ reads

Your position, impressions and clicks for every phrase, from your own Search Console.

  4. People choose your result

    Where customers are lost

A title or description that is too long, missing or dull gets seen and skipped. The result above yours gets the click.

    What SignalIQ reads

    • Page title length
    • Meta description
    • Meta description length
    • Social share tags

Clicks compared with impressions for each phrase.

The bars show the shape of a search funnel, not your numbers. Your own numbers come from your Search Console.

Audit to solution

What we find in search, and what to do about it

  • Pages have no meta description, or one so long that Google cuts it off.
    Costs you
The line under your link in search results is picked at random or ends mid-sentence, so fewer people choose you over the result above.
    We do
We write one for each page from what the page offers, then re-check it on the next scan.
  • You appear on the second page of Google for searches that should bring you customers.
    Costs you
Few people look past the first ten results, so a phrase you almost rank for brings you almost nothing.
    We do
We list those phrases from your own Search Console, then improve the page that already ranks for each one.
  • Your business is missing from the local results for your main search.
    Costs you
Someone near you searches for what you do and sees your competitors, with their ratings and reviews.
    We do
We look at the local results for your main search, compare your listing with the businesses Google shows, and list what to change.
  • Pages have no heading structure, images have no alt text, or internal links are broken.
    Costs you
Search engines read the page less clearly, and visitors who use a screen reader cannot tell what the images show.
    We do
We fix them page by page, starting with the pages that already get the most impressions.
  • AI crawlers are blocked, or nothing on the site summarises the business for them.
    Costs you
AI assistants answer questions about your market without naming you.
    We do
We check crawler access and the summary file, then, with your own OpenAI key, ask a set of real questions and show whether the answers name you.

What we implement

The parts of search we actually work on

Search Console connected

Your queries, pages, impressions, clicks and positions read nightly with your permission, so every decision starts from your own data.

Phrase tracking

Every phrase Google shows your site for, tracked day by day, with the most-seen ones followed automatically.

Page fixes

Titles, descriptions, headings, alt text, canonical links and structured data, changed on the pages that matter first.

Local search

Your listing compared with the businesses Google shows for your main search, with their ratings, review counts and positions.

Pages for the gaps

New or improved pages for the phrases you almost rank for, written in your voice from what you really offer.

Monthly review

A written record of what changed, why, and what the numbers did afterwards.

What becomes measurable

Search results you can check for yourself

Everything here comes from a source you can open, so the report never has to be taken on trust.

  • The 65 website checks, re-run on a schedule, so a fixed problem shows as fixed and a new one is caught.
  • Position, clicks and impressions for each phrase, day by day, from your own Search Console.
  • Who Google puts in the top 10 for your most-seen phrases, and how often you appear beside them.
  • The value of the clicks you get, once your Google Ads account is connected to supply the cost per click.

Engagement options

How involved you want us to be

The same capability, offered six ways. You are not required to buy the whole thing to get any of it.

What this doesn't include

Being specific about the boundary is cheaper for both of us than discovering it mid-engagement.

  • Promises about rankings, positions or traffic. Search results are Google's to decide, and we say so.
  • A full list of sites that link to you. We count linking domains from free public data and show Open PageRank authority where it is available, and we label what we cannot see.
  • Paid links, link schemes or anything that puts your site at risk of a penalty.
  • Changes to a site we cannot measure. If tracking is broken, that is fixed first so the result can be seen.
